About the role

The Water Well Project seeks to appoint a director to the board. The role requires attending approximately 10 board meetings per year (which may be online) and will involve serving on at least one board committee; in particular the Tasmanian branch committee. It may also be necessary to take part in conference calls for management, financial reporting and general compliance issues. There may be exceptions to attendance where real or perceived conflicts of interest arise. Being involved with the Board is instrumental in contributing to strategic planning and implementation, engaging with new and potential stakeholders and oversight of the Tasmanian branch of the organisation.

The Water Well Project is seeking a director with a diverse range of experience, which may be outside the health sector. The ideal candidate is someone who is motivated, proactive and passionate about improving the health and wellbeing outcomes of migrants, refugees and asylum seekers and who demonstrates the organisation’s values.
