The Organisation

Global Care Group Inc is a small, not-for-profit Western Australian aged care service provider. We employ around 160 staff across two locations in Midland and York.

We are a group of passionate professionals who strive to deliver a range of aged care services to our clients. Our strategic plan sets a growth trajectory for the organisation over the next few years.

At our Annual General Meeting (AGM) in November 2019, we are expecting a number of general vacancies on our Board due to expiring terms. We seek to appoint high calibre, voluntary Board Members to the Board. If you have a commercial mind and a social heart, we encourage you to apply.

We welcome applications from people with diverse backgrounds.

Selection Criteria:

  • Values driven, including high levels of integrity and respect
  • Sound governance knowledge via previous Board / Committee experience
  • Availability to attend up to 12 Board & Committee meetings a year
  • Commercial acumen
  • Clear communicator
  • Specific experience in any of the following, would be highly regarded:
    o Aged, retirement or community care industry;
    o Property development, procurement and construction;
    o Corporate finance, law or information technology;
    o Financial markets, investment management and banking
    o Clinical Governance
  • One successful applicant will be a consumer representative, they will either personally be currently receiving services from our organisation or have a relative who meets this criteria.

In addition, the successful applicant will be required to obtain a current National Police Screening certificate and declare that they meet the standards required from Key Personnel, as defined by the Aged Care Act 1997. This is a voluntary (non-paid) role. Global Care Group Board Members are reimbursed for business related out of pocket expenses.

Board meetings are held every month in the evening and sub-committee meetings as required.

Shortlisted applicants will be required to become a member of our association as per our constitution.
