About South Port Day Links

South Port Day Links (SPDL) is a community based not for profit organisation, which uses the skills of volunteers to provide transport services and community support programs for older people and people with disabilities living within the City of Port Phillip.
SPDL is incorporated and is a registered charity with the Australian Tax Office and Australian Charities and Not for Profit Commission. The SPDL office is located in Port Melbourne.
We have 3 paid staff positions, approximately 100 volunteers delivering our services and a volunteer Committee of Management.

Who are we seeking?
To assist us to achieve our mission, we are looking for enthusiastic, experienced professionals to join our Committee of Management.

You will ideally have previous governance or senior management experience, an understanding of the work of the community services and/or aged care sectors and ability to work as a member of a team. Experience in one or more of the following areas would be very helpful:

• Financial management
• Strategic Planning
• Government Relations
• Community Services/social services
• Volunteering
• Marketing and Fundraising
• Human Resources
• Information Technology

Specifically we are seeking people for the roles of Treasurer (financial skills required) and Secretary, but also General members of the Committee of Management are required.

As we are working to expand our transport service in St Kilda and Elwood , we would particularly welcome people who live in these suburbs and who may be able to bring ideas on the best ways of engaging with residents and other service providers in these areas.

But of course if you live elsewhere and you are interested in what SPDL does, then we would also like to talk to you.

Our Committee and small Management team enjoy a very productive working relationship. Together we are passionate and focused on assuring SPDL’s successful future and in this context, we freely share ideas and work together to achieve our goals.
