About the role
Initially incorporated in 1975 the Hunter Region Working Women’s Group (HRWWG) was founded to relieve poverty, sickness, destitution, helplessness and distress of women through the provision of quality services for women and their families.
The HRWWG Board of Management is responsible for the management of;
- The Hunter Women’s Centre; a non-government, not for profit, community based organisation which provides services to improve the health and wellbeing of the women of the Hunter.
- Six Hats Early Childhood Service; an inclusive service that supports working women through the provision of quality early childhood education and care to children.
The HRWWG is seeking female General Board members to join an existing team of dedicated volunteers. An expertise in Human Resources is very much welcomed however not required. The Board meets in the evening on a monthly basis in Newcastle, NSW.
