About the role
Explorability Inc. is a small not-for-profit organisation which provides individual advocacy for people with disability and/or mental health, their families and carers in Western Australia. It is a relatively new organisation, offering individual advocacy services since 1 February 2016, with a commitment to continuous improvement and a focus on delivering quality advocacy services now and into the future.
Explorability is currently seeking expressions of interest for experienced Board Members who can contribute to the strategic direction and future planning of the organisation. A position on this not-for-profit Board is voluntary, with current vacancies for General Membership positions.
Applicants with expertise in finance, corporate strategy, marketing, legal or with a background in the disability, mental health, broader community services and/or not-for-profit sectors will be considered. People with a lived experience of disability or mental health issues, family members and carers are strongly encouraged to apply.
The Board currently meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month from 5:30pm in Cockburn Central. A commitment to attend meetings regularly is necessary.
Prior to acceptance to the Board, a valid National Police Clearance will be required.
