In Australia, UNICEF Australia works with government and advocate bodies to defend children’s rights and support international development programs. Be responsible for managing and driving the growth of our new in-house Face to Face fundraising team in NSW. Based in UNICEF Australia’s Sydney Office and reporting to our National Face to Face Operations Manager, this is a great opportunity for a highly motivated individual to be a part of an exciting time in UNICEF Australia’s history.
Key responsibilities
Operational Management
- Provide regular weekly reports to Face to Face Operations Manager on staff, operational challenges, locations and weekly meetings
People Management
- Manage and implement the growth of the Face to Face fundraising program in NSW to achieve objectives.
- Lead by example to motivate, coach and manage team members to achieve and exceed daily and weekly targets
- Communicate serious issues arising from field operations affecting program management to the Face to Face Lead within a timely manner.
Human Resources
- Conduct interviews and select team members
- Conduct Performance Management due diligence in relation to the on the street team, with the Face to Face Lead on a weekly basis.
Field Management
- Managing location rotation and ensuring permits, WHS and other regulations relating to the use of the locations are met
Sales
- Meet the individual daily sign up targets prescribed by UNICEF Australia
- Set daily sales targets for team members that will meet the individual sales targets for each team member and in alignment with UNICEF Australia Face to Face monthly targets
- Monitor individual team member performances and provide sales support where necessary
Selection Criteria
- At least 3 years’ experience in a Face to Face field operations role, with ideally 1-2 years’ experience in a Management role
- Previous experience in a results driven role
- Ability to lead and manage a diverse sales team, including recruitment and performance management
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Experience and knowledge of Face to Face fundraising techniques
- At least 2 years previous experience working in a sales teams
- A passionate and energetic team member with a genuine interest in working in the international aid and development sector
This is a 12 month contract full time position and requires occasional work out of regular hours. A competitive salary commensurate with the not for profit sector is offered together with the availability of salary packaging to achieve a tax effective total salary package commensurate with experience.
