About the organisation

Organisation Name : Sustainable Screens Australia

Sustainable Screens Australia (SSA) is an industry led and funded not for profit, supporting the Australian screen industry to reduce its environmental impact and inspire stories for a sustainable future.

We are developing a standardised approach to sustainable screen practice in Australia, backed by an impressive group of members, including production companies, broadcasters, streamers, content commissioners, screen agencies, studios, industry bodies and educational institutions.

In the first international partnership of its kind, SSA partnered with BAFTA albert, global leaders who have been setting the standard for responsible production practices and climate content for more than a decade. SSA licence BAFTA alberts purpose-built, production specific carbon calculator and leverage their proven pedagogy to develop local training for the Australian industry.

We believe an environmentally sustainable screen industry is possible. We put the planet in the picture to keep our future in the frame.
