The organisation:

Marist Youth Care (MYC) has over 110 years of experience helping young people at risk in Australia. MYC has developed into one of the largest service providers for youth at risk in Australia today. We provide services to over 4,000 young people and their families every year. Each night we accommodate over 600 young people in our Residential as well as Settlement and Support Services.

The role:

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, flexible and imaginative person with a genuine desire to make a difference through their professional efforts in the role of National Grants and Tender Coordinator. The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee and coordinate MYC’s grant tender application process, including research and extensive writing and editing of submissions, managing contributions made by a broad range of staff and collating information from a variety of sources as required.
Reporting to the Executive Manager Innovation and Business Development this newly created role will monitor and identify new funding opportunities aligned to MYC’s strategic plan, consult with members of the Leadership Team to evaluate strategic and operational fit, probability of success and contribute to key tender decisions.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience (at least 3-5 years) in growing revenue through corporate partnerships and the writing of successful grant and tender submissions.
  • A strong background in research, data collation, statistical analysis, innovation and coordination.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the capacity to present confidently and to work effectively to build positive relationships and networks.
  • Demonstrated project management knowledge and ability, including the ability to initiate, plan, organise, establish and task priorities with a high level of attention to detail whilst communicating with a diverse range of relevant stakeholders.
  • The ability be a creative thinker and self-starter who is able to adapt to new ideas, systems and processes whilst at the same time managing competing demands and meeting deadlines. .
  • Demonstrated computer literacy skills including proficiency in office software, and advanced Excel skills.
