The Organisation
Assistance Dogs Australia trains Labradors and Golden Retrievers to help people living with disabilities including people born with developmental disabilities, those who acquire debilitating illnesses or who have been in accidents.
It can take up to two years and costs over $30,000 to train each dog. Assistance Dogs are placed completely free of charge with their new owner, providing life-changing support for up to 10 years. Assistance Dogs Australia is totally self-funded by individual donors and corporate supporters.
The Role
Reporting to the Fundraising Manager, this newly created role aims to enhance income streams through corporate sponsorship and workplace giving programs. You will be responsible for researching, developing and fostering relationships with regional and national corporate businesses, forming meaningful partnerships that generate substantial support. Specifically the role will have responsibility for:
- Maximising income from new and existing corporate supporters and sponsors
- Creating an effective corporate major donor pipeline and solicitation plan
- Prospecting new and meaningful partnership opportunities for the future
Skills Required
You have a proven track record in creating new business opportunities in a philanthropic, arts, education or corporate environment, resulting in significant support via sponsorships, partnerships, donations or sales. Your sophisticated strategic approach and self motivation will support your ability to retain and grow corporate relationships.
