About the role

About the role:

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by establishing key areas of fundraising including corporate and government partnerships, major donors and regular giving fundraising campaigns.

In this newly created role based in Sydney, you will champion the drive of new funding avenues to support the growth of the organisation. Drawing on your considerable experience, you will leverage existing commercial, government and philanthropic networks and build new ones for the organisation.

Your success will be measured by the growth of income via the fundraising programs and any additional financial support you have encouraged.

 

Key accountabilities and duties:

With the ability to thrive in this autonomous role, you will use an entrepreneurial approach to securing funds and have a flair for initiating, negotiating and securing partnerships and donations. You will support the Top Blokes Foundation into its next growth phase by offering fresh funding ideas and turn your passion of men’s health into tangible support.

 

More specifically your responsibilities will include:

  • To develop and implement a regular giving program through donor acquisition and retention. This will include both individuals and corporate giving programs.
  • To identify and cultivate relationships with prospective individual donors and secure high level donations.
  • To build prospective funding opportunities through government departments and government funding programs.
  • To identify collateral needs (e.g. publications, digital and other marketing materials) to support Top Blokes Foundations fundraising activities.
  • To introduce customer relations management systems to support fundraising activities including supporter database segmentation and management.
  • Provide support the Top Blokes Foundation’s management team to build internal capacity and source tangible resources (including pro-bono) to increase operations and program outcomes.
  • To identify emerging fundraising trends and unexplored fundraising avenues and work closely with the Managing Director to develop future fundraising strategies.
  • To provide regular updates to the Managing Director and provide written reports (quarterly) to the board of directors.

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience as a fundraising professional
  • Proven track record in achieving revenue targets and growing fundraising income via corporate, government partners and major donors
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and deliver outcomes
  • Demonstrated success designing and implementing major fundraising campaigns.
  • Excellent time and project management skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • The ability to work both collaboratively and independently whilst remaining flexible
  • Capacity to articulate and embody the mission and goals of the organisation
  • Ability to lead the fundraising strategy within a small team but fast-paced team
  • An understanding or willingness to understand all aspects of young men’s health.
