The Organisation
ELAA is a NFP peak membership body providing management services, advice and support to early childhood education and care services. We play a key role in advocating for high quality early learning to State and Federal governments, the media, and throughout the community.

The Role
Supporting and assisting the CEO, the Deputy CEO provides leadership across ELAA to ensure effective delivery of services and projects to benefit members; operational policies, processes and systems to ensure capacity and sustainability; and impactful communications and advocacy.

The Deputy CEO develops and implements initiatives to strengthen and grow the membership base; identifies opportunities to increase and diversify revenue; builds and maintains strategic partnerships with members and stakeholders; and manages and leads the Business Development and Growth team.

What we are looking for
This role requires an experienced leader who has the ability to develop and maintain effective collaborative relationships with stakeholders. A proven track record of providing authoritative advice in public policy, governance and political settings is essential. Experience in government and/or the NFP/community/public sector is valuable, as is a strong knowledge of financial accounting and risk relevant to the sector.
A qualification in Business Management, Law, Commerce, Communications and/or other relevant discipline will be highly regarded.
