Board Member (Voluntary Position)

Boots For All is seeking energetic and committed Board Members with strong demonstrated performance in non-profit governance and financial management, fundraising, communications and social enterprise business development to provide governance and strategic leadership to the organisation.

Boots For All is Australia’s first sporting goods repurposing charity with the vision of an active and socially inclusive Australia through sport. We salvage excess sporting goods (new and pre-owned) and redistribute these items to children, youth and adults in need across Australia to dissolve barriers to active participation in sport and fitness activities.

We also operate Australia’s first work integration social enterprise sports store – SPORT FOR ALL that exists to provide training and employment pathways for young people experiencing barriers to employment and other long-term unemployed.

The Boots For All Board has oversight of the organisation’s programs and is responsible to establish the appropriate systems of governance, communication and support that allow the CEO and staff to deliver our programs.

Board Members are expected to:

* attend face-to-face formal meetings in Melbourne,

* be available to conduct business on an ad-hoc basis between Board meetings or to arrange informal meetings

* monitor and uphold the performance of the organisation’s strategic objectives, policies and social impact targets.
