About the organisation
About the role
EDVOS is the specialist family violence service in the EMR and covers the municipalities of Boroondara, Manningham, Whitehorse, Knox, Monash, Maroondah and Yarra Ranges.
We provide an integrated range of support and services to empower women and children who have experienced and are responding to domestic or family violence. We focus on ensuring the safety of women and children, and the accountability of perpetrators. We provide support, information, case management, safety planning, community education, programs for pet safety and a strong network of referral pathways to other services.
EDVOS is a child- focused and child safe organisation.
EDVOS has a rewarding opportunity available for a Risk Assessment and Management Panel (RAMP) Coordinator to join the dedicated team in the Eastern Region of Melbourne.
We recognise that the organisation is only as strong as its people and having the right people with the right skills and the right attitude is integral to fulfilling our goals. A RAMP (Risk Assessment Management Panel) is a multi- agency, coordinated response for women and children at high and imminent risk of serious harm from family violence. RAMP meetings are held monthly at a local level of key agencies and organisations to comprehensively assess the risk to a woman and her children and develop coordinated action plans across agencies in response to this risk.
The RAMPs aim to:
* Reduce risk and harm to women and children at serious and imminent risk from family violence;
* Reduce the potential for perpetrators to pose a serious and imminent threat to women and children,
* Increase the accountability of perpetrators; and
* Strengthen the capacity of the existing service system. RAMPs involve the participation of government and key statutory and community sector agencies which work with both victims and perpetrators of family violence. These member agencies include Victoria Police, Corrections Victoria, Health, Specialist Family Violence Services for women and children, agencies working for the protection of children; mental health services and housing providers.
