Our client ACCESS ministries is the major organisation in Victoria providing both Chaplains and Special Religious Instructors into State schools amongst other national services.  They have been operating for over a century now, reaching students and by extension, their families and the larger community through the service delivery of SRI (Special Religious Instruction), as well as training and making available Chaplains and Student Wellbeing Workers for the guidance of students.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will be responsible for driving the full implementation of the business plan in the areas of Chaplaincy, Christian Education, accredited Training and other new community based programs, whilst working closely with the CEO and Executive team to ensure the achievement of all agreed strategic objectives and measurable out-comes are met.

You will be Masters qualified in either Social Sciences/Education including Theology and have strong leadership and business development skills, preferably with proven experience in Chaplaincy or working closely with Chaplains. A current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is desirable. You must also have a good understanding and knowledge of the Education sector.

The successful candidate will have highly developed interpersonal skills, be a servant leader, with ability for public speaking and have proven experience in a not for profit organisation.

In this key senior position, you will be managing close to three hundred School Chaplains and a large number of volunteers. You must also be able to manage financial, legal and risk management responsibilities, pivotal to the role.
