About the organisation

Organisation Name : Archdiocese of Brisbane

Every week the Catholic Archdiocese of Brisbane makes a positive impact in the lives of hundreds of thousands of Queenslanders. Good works are undertaken through our 97 parishes and 164 schools, kindergartens and childcare centres. Our works also include aged care, disability care, family and domestic violence assistance services and outreach to some of the most vulnerable groups in our community.

The Archdiocese employs more than 15,000 people through organisations such as Brisbane Catholic Education and Centacare and services communities South East Queensland – from the New South Wales border to the south, north to Hervey Bay and west to Kingaroy and Gatton.

About the role

The Archdiocese has a senior leadership team that includes the Archbishop, Vicar-General, Clergy, Executive Directors and Directors who oversee its vast work. These policy areas include, but are not limited to, education, social services, disability support, aged care and end-of-life matters.

The creation of a government relations position will enable the Archdiocese to better liaise with government and public policy figures to ensure that insights gained through our many areas of operation and concern are made available and that the views of our stakeholders are considered.
