About the organisation
The Connected Beginnings Project Director will be employed by Bourke District Children’s Services (BDCS). BDCS is an amalgamation of Early Childhood Services in Bourke, NSW. We operate the Preschool, Childcare, Mobile Playgroup and After School Care. We are a not for profit organisation led by a volunteer Management Committee and operationally managed by a General Manager.
About the role
The role to lead this important work, Bourke District Children’s Services (BDCB) is seeking a passionate and innovative Project Director for the newly federally funded Connected Beginnings initiative in Bourke. The Project Director will be a dynamic leader who can work in partnership with a broad range of stakeholders towards community led systems change.
Connected Beginnings supports Aboriginal children to be well prepared for school by supporting Aboriginal pregnant women, and Aboriginal children from birth to school age. The initiative will contribute to reducing the difference in school readiness and education outcomes between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal children.
