About the role
- $85,279 – $96,759 (Plus Superannuation)
- Fixed Term until 18 December 2020
- Usual hours of work: Full Time (flexibility may be available)

The position of Caseworker forms a part of the International Education branch within the Global Victoria group. Our group connects Victoria to global opportunities. We do this by building the export capability of Victorian business, connecting Victorians to global trade opportunities through our international network of 22 offices, promoting our world class industry capabilities to international audiences and seeking to attract and retain the best global talent through migration.
Reporting to the Senior Caseworker this position allows you to use well developed stakeholder engagement skills in presentations, case work and will require well developed project management skills, interpersonal communication skills, organisational skills and empowerment approach to support international students.
This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified candidate to work in the Study Melbourne Student Centre (SMSC) and deliver information, referral and casework services to international students in a culturally sensitive manner, whilst they are studying in Victoria.
Key accountabilities of the role include:
- Provide intake assessment, case planning support and referral to international students.
- Lead and contribute to the development and implementation of projects to support international students in Victoria.
- Provide services that are culturally responsive and support the empowerment of international students.
- Ensure that all casework and project files are maintained to high standards.
- Provide safe and welcoming service to international students in a study space.
- Build new and develop existing relationships with key stakeholders and partners across the education, not for profit and private sectors to improve international student well being and promote the Victorian Government’s investment in student initiatives.
