Kadimah Jewish Cultural Centre and National Library is a vibrant, energetic and active cultural organisation, championing Yiddish language and Jewish culture since 1911. Its activities include Yiddish language and conversation classes, Kadimah Yiddish Theatre productions, community theatre and cabarets, concerts, literary events, comedy nights and youth drama classes. Home to Australia’s largest Yiddish library, it also represents the Melbourne Jewish Food Festival and annual In One Voice Jewish Culture Festival (with SKIF).

About the role

  • Experienced individual with the skills, energy, vision and passion to drive and manage Kadimah’s cultural programs and events
  • Flexible part-time leadership role (0.8 FTE)

We seek an experienced project manager with a strong background in arts management, event planning, and community engagement with a creative and innovative approach to programming. The successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination, budgeting, logistics and delivery of a diverse range of programs, activities and events that celebrate and share Yiddish language and Jewish culture with Melbourne’s diverse communities. Collaboration and partnership are at the core of Kadimah’s work.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in community-centred programming, a commitment to nurturing emerging talent and have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. You will be experienced in motivating a small team to create engaging and inspiring programs that celebrate the diversity and creativity of our community.
