About the role

Brainwave seeks to reduce the impact of paediatric neurological conditions on children and their families. The purpose of this role is to support Brainwave in achieving this vision.

You will meet children and families living with neurological conditions, and have the opportunity to see the true impact your role is having on their lives.

This role is to manage existing Brainwave fundraising events and to develop new initiatives to increase overall revenue.

Specifically:
Work within the fundraising team to strategise, plan and implement Brainwave’s fundraising events initiatives to reach organisational objectives and budgeting.

Create, execute and report on an annual fundraising events strategy to help grow income and ensure possible opportunities are met.

Foster relationships across sponsor and events sectors to ensure ongoing support and achievement of all deliverables for each relationship.

Identify and maximise every opportunity to raise funds and increase income from each relationship.
Secure event sponsorship and in-kind donations for Brainwave’s large-scale fundraising events.
Work with the fundraising team to identify and source suitable auction items and prizes for the fundraising events.

Familiarise and work with the fundraising donor database (Donman) to ensure that the information held within is accurate and detailed for all partners.
Provide administrative support to partners to ensure that regular acquittal and acknowledgement reports are distributed in a timely manner.

Leverage opportunities to promote the Brainwave brand to ensure maximum exposure through corporate, community and event partners.

Represent Brainwave Australia at fundraising events and partner initiatives where Brainwave is the recipient for funds raised.

To be suitable for this role, you will have:
– Fundraising event experience (gala event experience highly valued)
– Strong sales, business development and/or fundraising experience
– Relationship management experience
– Budget and financial management skills
– Exceptional attention to detail
– High-level computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and experience administrating
data in CRM systems
– Strong administrative skills
– Excellent time management skills and prioritisation skills
– The ability to clean and sort information efficiently
– A commitment to maintaining confidentiality
