Non-Executive Director

The Australian Egg Corporation Limited (AECL) is a Sydney-based public unlisted corporation limited by guarantee established under the Egg Industry Service Provision Act 2002 providing marketing, Research & Development (R&D) and other services to the Australian egg industry. AECL is mainly funded through statutory levies, received from all egg producers and collected under the Act, and through Australian Government funds for the purposes of conducting R&D activities in agreed program areas.
Due to the retirement of a director, AECL is seeking interest from any person wishing to be considered for appointment as a Non-Executive Director of the Board. Further to the Corporation’s Constitution, AECL is seeking to appoint a ‘specialist’ director who can demonstrate the following:
• Successful background in and thorough understanding of marketing, communications, social media and product promotions, preferably in the food or FMCG industries.
• Familiar with analysing and interpreting market research into successful strategies.
• Knowledge of appropriate metrics to assess investments in marketing-based programs.
• Experience with, or understanding of rural production systems and industry-based companies.
• Experience as a company director, CEO or CMO.
