The Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine (ACNEM) is a non-profit medical college established in 1982, offering both face-to face and online postgraduate training and education for doctors and other graduate healthcare professionals.
ACNEM’s Vision is to be the leader in Nutritional and Environmental Medicine (NEM) and its mission is to establish NEM as central to medical practice.
About the opportunity
Based in Sandringham within our office with Bayside views, we are seeking a CEO who will bring strong leadership experience and highly developed relationship management skills, to lead and mentor a small, close knit team through the next chapter of change. These changes will create enormous opportunities for ACNEM and its members and requires an innovative, hands-on and collaborative leadership style.
The role includes the following responsibilities:
- In consultation with the Board; develop, then execute the strategic plan in line with the ACNEM Vision and Mission
- Be an influencer, advocate and voice for our Board, Members and Staff
- Continually seek opportunities for improvement and incorporating best practice into the L&D offering
- Foster a collaborative culture with the team and membership base
- Develop good working relationships with Members, Fellows, Staff and relevant bodies within the sector
- Build effective partnerships with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Ensure governance compliance and manage the P&L
- Liaise effectively and collaboratively with Board Members
What we’re looking for
To be successful in this key role you will bring the following skills and experience with you:
- Tertiary qualified to degree/ post graduate level
- Qualifications in Training and Assessment will be highly regarded
- Experienced in conducting training needs analysis and developing appropriate solutions
- An understanding and interest in Nutritional and Environmental Medicine
- Demonstrated experience at a senior level, acquired within a small to medium NFP or membership focused organisation
- Experience in policy development.
- Excellent business acumen and influencing skills
- Outstanding stakeholder management skills; Ability to build networks and strong relationships acting as a business partner both inside and outside the organisation e.g. with Sponsors & Exhibitors
- Event/Conference Management
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Outstanding mentoring and leadership skills
