World Animal Protection (formerly The World Society for the Protection of Animals) is an international animal welfare non-government organisation that has been in operation for over 30 years and has Country locations in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and North America. The organisation is active in more than 50 countries with more than one million supporters globally.
To achieve its vision of a world where animal welfare matters and animal cruelty ends, World Animal Protection has four main campaigns to protect the one billion animals that live in communities, the 70 billion animals farmed each year, to protect and rescue animals in disaster zones and to protect wild animals keeping them in the wild. - The Role
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer in the UK you will lead and direct the Australian and New Zealand offices and teams to achieve local, regional and worldwide goals. You will nurture high-quality and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure that the business, campaign and fundraising plans are developed, implemented and monitored.
You will liaise with government authorities, industry, donors, stakeholder organisations and media as well as managing finances, legals, governance, administration and communications.
Skills Required
You have extensive experience in fundraising at a senior level especially in database driven direct marketing, and possess a strong understanding of leadership, operations and communications. You are a strategic thinker and politically astute with the drive and initiative to lead an already successful team. Importantly, you have change management experience, with the ability to further develop internal systems and processes.
