About the role
This role identifies, manages donor and external grants opportunities to grow philanthropy, meeting Sydney Living Museums’ organisational revenue targets and enabling the organisation to meet its strategic objectives and mission.

Essential requirements the role holder needs:
– Tertiary qualification and/or significant relevant experience in corporate philanthropy
– Five years plus experience working with donors, High Net Worth individuals, corporate donors and trusts, grant making bodies and private foundations
– Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and public relations skills that demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with diverse internal and external constituencies in a wide variety of settings.
– Highly developed verbal and written communication skills and confidence in preparing and delivering compelling presentations, pitches, proposals to potential donors and donor organisations.
– Excellent numeracy skills and the ability to analyse and prepare budgets and forecasts.
– Time management, analytic and problem solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with competing timelines.
– Highly developed skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), databases and CRM systems.
– Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
– Passion to make a positive impact in the community and a willingness to work within Sydney Living Museum’s values and behaviours to advance its mission.
Targeted questions:
1. This role requires you to develop and implement a grants program to secure grant, trust and foundation funding across the organisation. Please describe your experience in identifying, developing, managing and acquitting two significant and successful grant applications.
2. Outline your approach to working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders to secure funding from individual donors or grant awarding bodies, for a range of different fundraising projects including a capital campaign and an annual appeal.
