Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Banyule Community Health-North East PCP to be part of a new model of Integrated Health Promotion supporting local organisations to plan and implement initiatives aimed at reducing the consumption of sugary drinks. We are seeking an experienced and qualified professional with a track record of working with numerous partners to achieve better health outcomes. The position is Part time – 4 days per week, contracted to June 2019 with a possibility of extension. The key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Facilitate and coordinate integrated, collaborative activity to reduce sugary drink consumption and promote healthy drinks across the NEPCP catchment, in line with our strategic plan
  • Coordinate and support the development, implementation and evaluation of a catchment-wide healthy drinks plan
  • Gather, interpret and translate data, evidence and knowledge to support a collective impact approach to healthy drinks
  • Develop and maintain strong, effective relationships with new and existing partners

 

The key skills required for this role include:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications preferably at post-graduate level
  • Demonstrated success in facilitating the development of multi-agency networks in a community or health services environment
  • Demonstrated success in developing, implementing and evaluating social justice or public health initiatives to achieve improved population health outcomes
  • Knowledge and in-depth understanding of the social determinants of health, health promotion principles and practices, health promotion planning, and evidence based approaches to prevention
