The Opportunity

The External Relations, Development and Alumni portfolio (ERDA) works collaboratively across the University to initiate, grow and steward strong person to person relationships with key stakeholders that support Monash University’s research and education endeavours. From our inception in 2013 we have increased exponentially in size and success and, as a result of internal promotion, now seek your passion for Education and Relationship Management to take the Planned Giving function to the next level.

As the Planned Giving Manager, you will report to the Senior Manager and leverage their wealth of knowledge and the established relationships throughout ERDA to capitalise on untapped opportunities. You will be responsible for attracting and stewarding bequest prospects, playing a key role in planning and implementing the first coordinated Planned Giving appeal, as well as help to implement key areas of the planned giving strategy with the support of ERDA staff and other University representatives. You will have the full resources of the University and the backing of key senior stakeholders to enable your success in this newly created opportunity.

Being a relationship development-driven role, your interpersonal strengths and high-level communication skills will enable you to engage effectively with prospects, understanding their passions in order to create linkages with the University translating into gifts that will make a major, positive impact in an underprivileged student’s life or enhance a world-leading research project. Your project management expertise will ensure the successful implementation of planned strategic initiatives whilst your passion for making a difference will bring an unparalleled sense of fulfilment for you in this role.

If you are looking to utilise your account management, business development or sales strengths in a truly meaningful role that will afford you accelerated career growth in a world renowned brand, we look forward to hearing from you!

This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated. This position is based at our CBD and Clayton offices.
