About the organisation
Suicide Prevention Australia is a not for profit organisation providing national leadership for the suicide prevention sector in Australia. SPA works collaboratively to develop a community that knows how to ask for help and how to give help.
About the role
We are looking for an ambitious, innovative, strategic thinker to join our team. You will be responsible for developing, refining and managing the national research strategy including the Suicide Prevention Research Fund, the Best Practice Hub and other components of the SPA Quality Improvement Program. This will involve building key relationships with researchers, service delivery, business and governments to help drive outcomes in suicide prevention leadership and research, with both a strategic and hands-on emphasis. It is an exciting time to join Suicide Prevention Australia in this role as you will be contributing to success of a game changing initiative in the form of the recently announced first ever national suicide prevention research fund managed by SPA.

Selection Criteria
• Depth of knowledge in suicide prevention and/or public health
• Demonstrated record in policy & program development
• Experience in, and knowledge of, research planning and its processes
• Experience in developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships
• Experience and/or knowledge of fundraising
• Budgeting skills and experience in financial reporting
