Here’s your chance to join a reputable, national Medical Research Institute, committed to putting an end to childhood cancer.
Working within their dynamic fundraising team you will assume responsibility for managing a variety high profile signature, community events as well as have responsibility for one direct report.
Responsibilities will include:
• Lead, manage and implement key signature fundraising events and strategies
• Ensure all events are delivered to the highest standard with creativity and innovation
• Achieve fundraising income and targets for event portfolio
• Manage all project and event budgets
• Ensure successful delivery of signature and 3rd party challenge events
• Coordinate all peer to peer fundraising communication
• Lead, mentor and motivate one direct report
• Develop & nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders including supporters, volunteers and suppliers
The successful applicant will be able to meet the following criteria:
• Proven track record in Event Management or Community Fundraising
• At least 2 years’ experience managing Challenge Events
• Appropriate tertiary qualifications
• At least 2 years NFP industry experience
• Good working knowledge and understanding of digital fundraising strategies and activities
• Leadership skills
• Proactive, tenacious, creative and a “can do” team player
• Raisers Edge database experience
• Superior communication, presentation and influencing skills
• Able to act autonomously as well as work as part of a high performing team
