Major Donor Relations Officer

• Create innovative and bespoke methods of engaging major donors
• Use your analytical and data skills to identify new donors
• Build strong relationships with existing major donors
• Play a crucial role in connecting donors with the work of Save the Children

Where you come in:

In this full-time permanent position based in either Melbourne or Sydney, reporting to the National Donor Relations Manager, you will be an integral member of the Philanthropy team and work collaboratively to achieve ambitious revenue growth. You will both identify potential donors and create individual methods of engagement to grow revenue through quick wins and slow burn approaches.

You will make an impact by:

• Developing and implementing innovative donor engagement strategies
• Growing gifts from existing donors
• Participating in new business development activities
• Conducting various research activities including market segmentation, database interrogation and prospecting
• Implementing best practice administration of the major donor portfolio

An eye for detail, you can monitor multiple information sources to identify trends and capture potential opportunities. A skilled communicator, you are adept in developing high quality proposals, reports, acquittals and donor profiles which meet brand guidelines. No two days are the same, you love variety and know how to juggle.

This role requires:

• A customer-centric approach to stakeholder engagement
• Proven success in a similar function and environment
• Knowledge and understanding of general fundraising principles and the Australian philanthropic landscape
• Strong CRM or donor management system skills
• Experience in developing and implementing stewardship programs
