An exciting opportunity for a Community Services trainer who is looking for a unique experience. Live and work in a remote Aboriginal Community on the Tiwi Islands in NT.

 

Your new role

You will be required to plan, design and deliver Certificate II in Community Services traineeships to adult learners for whom English may not be their first language and literacy and numeracy skills may be low. Some travel may be required across both Bathurst and Melville islands.

What you’ll need to succeed

The successful candidate must hold TAE40110 – Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and have qualifications and/or experience in the Community Services sector at the Certificate II level or higher. You will have the ability to execute training by applying adult learning principals, creativity and innovation to your delivery. You will coordinate student’s enrolments, drive, monitor and report on progress and ensure that all course-ware including training materials, facilitator guides and activities are relevant and compliant with the Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2015 and the company’s service delivery expectations. In addition, you will have proven ability to undertake administrative functions in respect to training programs and have advanced knowledge of MS Office. Experience in the remote Aboriginal environment and knowledge and understanding of Indigenous societies and cultures will be very highly regarded.
