Womens Health & Family Services is a not for profit organisation which has been providing services for WA women since 1977. Programs and Services at WHFS include medical, counselling, drug and alcohol support, domestic violence, mental health and other health services for women and their families. The services at WHFS are open to all WA women including Aboriginal women, migrant and refugee women, and their families.

 

About the role

This is an exciting time to join the senior management team. As the Chief Financial and Operations Officer, you will be accountable for the appropriate operational controls, reporting procedures and people systems to effectively grow the service and to provide financial strength, operating efficiency and strategic effectiveness. In this role, you will: 

  • Develop, implement, monitor and evaluate the overall corporate strategy with the CEO and senior management team
  • Lead the hands-on operational aspects of the organisation
  • Drive a culture of accountability in financial management and enhancing WHFS reach and impact.
  • Support the CEO and Board with key financial information and operational analytics to inform decision making

To be successful in this role, you will have strong business and financial acumen. You will have proven business management experience and a depth of knowledge in financial and accounting systems and standards, legislative and compliance requirements.

You will be an excellent communicator and an impactful leader that drives accountability and fosters a culture that supports ideas generation, collaboration, inclusion and diversity.

You will have strong influencing and relationship management capability to enable effective engagement with all levels of government and other key stakeholders. You will have a structured approach to work with experience in the preparation, implementation and review of strategic and operational plans.

Tertiary qualified in the area of Finance or Business is essential. Experience working in a not for profit environment will be highly regarded.

You will be based at the purpose designed modern headquarters within the Womens Health & Family Service Centre in Northbridge.
