About the role

– A$91k-99K per annum (plus 17% employer superannuation and leave loading)
– 3-year contract
– Full-time (35 hours per week)
– CSI UNSW Sydney (Kensington) office

Amplify Social Impact™ (Amplify) is an innovative, world-first solution to tackle the root causes of complex social problems to create a more equitable and just society. Amplify will catalyse and facilitate sustainable systemic change, by creating an approach and online platform that will help move the sector away from siloed responses.

We are seeking an energetic, collegiate and effective individual who has excellent quantitative and data dissemination research skills and is passionate about contributing to catalysing positive social change and contributing to this new project.

The Senior Research Officer (Quant) – Amplify Social Impact will be responsible for updating and expanding social demographic data (HILDA, ABS and non-HILDA) reported in the Australia’s Social Pulse tool within the Amplify online platform, developing and refining database management procedures, and conducting research that contributes to CSI’s strategy and research program including the measurement and reporting of social impact.

About you

To be successful in this role you will:

Have a degree in Social Science (quantitative) with subsequent relevant experience and high-level skills in quantitative research
Have experience in quantitative data management and analysis with a proven track-record in the management and use of large datasets
Be an effective, proactive [and energetic] researcher with knowledge of social, demographic, or economic measurement techniques; statistical methods; and indicator development
Have initiative, flexibility, and an independent approach to working in an energetic team and contributing to the implementation of the Amplify project plan.
Be an effective communicator with the ability to engage with stakeholders and develop highly productive external and internal relationships.
Be excited about, and committed to, the future direction of CSI, our culture and our values
An applicant for this role must be an Australian citizen or have Australian work rights for the duration of the fixed term role and will be required to undergo a pre-employment qualification check prior to appointment to this role.
