About the role

  • Significant engagement and stakeholder management
  • Sydney CBD; relocating to Kensington end 2019

Reporting to the Manager, Alumni Networks and Services, you will engage with a variety of alumni groups, committees and networks to build ongoing support and participation through fostering mutually beneficial relationships.  Key responsibilities include:

  • Build key stakeholder relationships within existing alumni networks: Sports, Colleges, Entrepreneurs, Indigenous, Pioneers, Emeriti and Co-Op scholars
  • In consultation with stakeholders, develop and implement a strategy for engaging with each alumni group
  • Plan and deliver events and engagement activities that build strategic and sustainable engagement
  • Promote the advancement and development of alumni networks within the UNSW alumni community
  • Act as a key point of contact for the Alumni Networks and Services team
  • Provide support to the Alumni Networks and Services team as required

About the successful applicant

You can demonstrate your experience delivering successful alumni and/or strategic engagement programs. Specific requirements include:

  • Experience building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong engagement and stakeholder management skills including highly developed written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail and demonstrated commitment to excellence in program and project delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and garner support and commitment for projects
  • Excellent organisational skills and proven ability to show initiative and think creatively and independently
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and sensitively across a range of teams whilst coordinating multiple priorities
  • Knowledge and commitment to health and safety training and responsibilities
