The Role

Reporting to the L&D Manager this position plays a pivotal role in the development of quality training to Victoria’s leading children’s welfare organisations. Responsible for identifying industry needs around eLearning development by working in collaboration with the Centre’s membership, child, youth and family services sector and the Department of Health & Human Services (DHHS).

You will be responsible for the transformation of the industry’s accredited and non-accredited learning needs to an eLearning platform.  Being hands on in the role you will be building and developing courses in, as well as maintaining the LMS (Learning Management System), whilst working closely with in-house subject matter experts to tailor content creating the look and feel of the Centres eLearning experience.

Specifically, you will complete research to map the range of potential training courses for online delivery. You will maintain the online learning system, designing and uploading learning materials, support and engage with students as they navigate the courses.   Scope the market for appropriate IT innovations and liaise with facilitators to develop online content for training courses.

 

Skills Required

Ideally you are in a similar eLearning focused position in a comparable organisation preferably from the education or RTO sector and have a solid understanding of adult learning and learning management systems.  You will be comfortable completing all aspects of the role developing a vision and working to attain this, meeting targets and managing external relationships and expectations.

Ideally you will be able to demonstrate:

  • A good understanding of adult learning
  • LMS management and reporting skills
  • Proven track record of implementing successful e-learning content/modules and instructional design skills
  • Knowledge of VET accredited training
  • Experience in intelligence gathering and networking across a broad range of stakeholders
  • Energy, drive and initiative alongside excellent interpersonal skills
