About the organisation
As a leading national voice The Butterfly Foundation represents people living with eating disorders and negative body image and their family and friends. Left unaddressed, the medical, psychological, physical and social consequences can be long term and for many life threatening.
Butterfly advocates for improved services from both government and independent sources whilst raising public awareness in the media and via community debate . The Foundation also operates the National Eating Disorders Support Helpline, a range of programs for service providers and recovery groups and education programs via schools and workplaces. On top of all that Butterfly also has an institute that engages with academic research projects.
The Foundation has just announced funding from the Federal Health Minister Greg Hunt to support the development of Australia’s first residential treatment facility for eating disorders.

The Role
Reporting to and providing key leadership support to the chief executive officer you will ensure operational excellence through all the corporate functions including finance, business analysis, HR, risk management including work health and safety, quality, compliance, IT/business systems, property management and business planning.
You will contribute strongly to the strategic planning process, maintaining and implementing the current framework ensuring performance measures are robust, aligned and driving business growth. As company secretary you will support the board chaired by David Murray AO and business advisory committee and be responsible for the management or provision of advice on legal affairs.
Skills Required
You are currently operating at a senior level in a similar operational or CFO style role supervising sustainable financial practices and models, shaping infrastructure policy and managing a wide range of internal functions across core business operations.
Via your already successful career in other health focused organisations, education institutions, leading charities or like-minded corporates you’re able to demonstrate a deep understanding of the organisational culture required to successfully deliver program outcomes whilst driving business success.
You have excellent people management and conflict resolution skills with a genuine interest in employee wellbeing promoting a positive and ethical working environment.
