Content Producer

We have an opportunity for a Digital Content Producer to bring the Royal Far West brand to life through content generation that advocates for country kids and showcases the children, families, stories and impact of Royal Far West.

The ideal candidate will be able to use their highly developed skills to produce and edit video content & write compelling short & long form copy that can be customised based on the audience (donors, families, advocacy partners) and the channel (website, blog, social etc).

They will demonstrate their passion for creativity with a good eye for copy and the ability to think outside the box.

Importantly, they will thrive being part of a high performing team of professionals who are committed to raising awareness and the profile of Royal Far West through content excellence.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, Communications and Fundraising and working closely with the PR/Content Manager you will be responsible for developing and executing the Content Strategy and plan.

They key focus areas of this role will be:

• Development and execution of the Royal Far West content strategy and plan to cater to needs of various customer audiences and objectives
• Content production – written and video
• Contribute to the Social media strategy to ensure content is developed for the right audience & channel.
• Lead the maintenance and execution of the Editorial Calendar – responsive and pro-active.
• Establish and grow the Royal Far West blog to improve SEO and increase web traffic

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Essential Criteria

• 2+ years in a related role
• Journalism/communications tertiary qualification
• Ability to produce, write, edit and preferably post produce audio visual content
• Solid experience with all social media platforms – organic and paid
• Knowledge and experience with Word press and Google Analytics
• Demonstrated success in developing content to attract and retain customers.
• Excellent written and verbal skills – long and short form copy
• Results orientated and self-motivated
• Project management skills with high attention to detail

Desirable Criteria

• Experience using Adobe creative suite
• Experience working in a charity or member based organisation
• Empathy for children’s health issues
