About the Foundation:

The Alannah & Madeline Foundation is a national charity protecting children from violence and bullying. Our vision is that every child will live in a safe and supportive environment. The Foundation cares for children who have experienced or witnessed violence and runs programs which prevent violence in the lives of children. We play an advocacy role and we’re a voice against childhood violence.

The role:

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Development, this exciting new role is responsible for building the Foundation’s presence in NSW and has accountability to support the delivery of the Foundation’s corporate partnership & events strategies.

This position has accountability and responsibility for:

  • Developing and delivering strategic business opportunities including a pipeline of prospective partners.
  • Leveraging internal and external networks to broker relationships and facilitate introductions.
    Developing strategic proposals that demonstrate shared value for prospective partners.
  • Actively seek opportunities to enhance the Foundation’s reputation in the eyes of the business community, to drive further funding opportunities.
  • Coordinate the delivery of Foundation events in Sydney and surrounding areas including sponsorship, logistics and guest speakers.
  • Represent the Foundation at all NSW-based events.
  • Meet an agreed set of revenue targets.
  • Undertake operational and administrative duties involved with the setup and maintenance of the Sydney support office.

Skills and Experience include:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a communications or events role, preferably within the social services sector.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining complex corporate partnerships.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to nurture and grow relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders, including corporate and government.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and implementing both large and small-scale events.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and remotely on clearly-defined projects, and in partnership with a small team based in Melbourne.
  • Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously, while ensuring deadlines are met and work is of a high-standard.
  • Ability to travel both inter and intra state on at least a quarterly basis.
