About the organisation
The Victorian Foundation for Survivors of Torture Inc. (VFST) provides a range of services to people in Victoria who have been subject to torture or other traumatic events prior to their arrival in Australia. This group includes refugees and asylum seekers. It is non-denominational, politically neutral and non-aligned.
About the role

The Team Leader of Child, Youth and Families is part of the Direct Service team which provides services in the form of counselling, advocacy, family support, group work, information sessions and complementary therapies work. The team leader as part of the leadership team, is responsible for a managing and developing a team of Counsellor Advocates and the delivery of high quality services for children, young people and families.
We are seeking applicants who have highly developed trauma informed therapeutic skills with experience in program delivery utilising effective systems and processes. Your ability to support and manage the work of a multidisciplinary team, along with excellent interpersonal skills and collaborative working style is essential in this role.
Remuneration is based on our Enterprise Agreement 2014 up to $102,730 per annum. Benefits include generous salary packaging, leave loading, and a range of flexible working options, a highly supportive team environment, and excellent training, support and development opportunities.
