Our client is a commercially focused financial services company dedicated to specifically servicing the Church, Christian School, Not-For-Profit and Social sectors with a profit for purpose mission. Servicing over 2,500 clients nationally, they provide a tailored range of financial services including Insurance, Investment Management and Commercial Lending. 

The organisation has a long and strong reputation as a valued commercial partner that really understands the Church, school and not-for-profit sector nationally, as well as providing their clients nationally with exceptional service, value and satisfaction while meeting their commercial finance needs. 

The organisation is on the cusp of a potentially large commercial lending expansion plan into this sector and its own significant client base, and this role would be considered key to the success of scaling up this area of the broader business and be responsible for building a larger lending team to resource this.

About the role

A unique opportunity has opened up in their Commercial lending team for an experienced professional to join this long-serving organisation as National Lending Manager, with the existing long-term Commercial Lending Manager stepping back to a part-time role as part of a succession plan. This role is key for this organisation to significantly develop and grow this core business area.

The organisation is also on the cusp of a potentially large commercial lending expansion plan into this sector and its own significant client base, and this role would be considered key to the success of scaling up this area of the broader business and be responsible for building a larger lending team to resource this.

You will be involved with a diversified portfolio of clients in business development and credit risk assessment, preparing quotations, developing submissions for approval, and also liaising with the client and other relevant parties to transition to an unconditional loan offer and borrower acceptance. 

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in commercial property lending and/-or broking experience, have extensive exposure to providing commercial lending solutions and have sound knowledge of risk, credit and compliance. You will possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail, have a high level of internal motivation and drive to meet and exceed client expectations, have excellent communication skills and be strongly aligned to the core values and mission of this Church-owned organisation. You will be tertiary qualified in a related discipline and/or have a Certificate 4 in Finance and Mortgage Broking. 

You will ideally have a personal involvement and alignment to the cause and work of the church and the purpose and values of this organisation, and a good understanding of the business of the Church and Christian school sector.
