Independent Strategic Review – Board Advisory

Lower North Shore Community Transport Inc (LNSCT) has been operating for over 27 years.  Trading as Community Connect Transport since 2015, LNSCT’s purpose is to enhance the wellbeing of community members by improving their access to safe, reliable, appropriate and affordable transport services.

The organisation is governed by a volunteer management committee (MC); analogous to a board.  The MC has formed the view that it would be valuable to gain some insight into the future facing LNSCT by seeking an independent strategic review ahead of its next strategy meeting scheduled for 17 February 2021.

The MC is seeking the following from the independent review:

1. Review government funding for the sector and identify medium- to long-term trends;
2. Review the competitive landscape and identify medium- to long-term trends;
3. Identify options to change the existing business model to improve long-term financial sustainability;
4. Quantify the financial outcomes from each option;
5. Identify the organisational structure, personnel and other resources recommended to deliver each option;
6. Identify the steps required and timeline, with key risks and risk mitigation actions, to achieve each option;
7. Write a comprehensive confidential report for the MC due by 5 February 2021; and
8. Present summarised findings to the MC and senior management on 17 February 2021.

The person undertaking the task will be paid on a short-term, part-time contract basis.
