Overview
Employee Ownership Australia (EOA) is a not-for-profit association that serves as a central hub for resources on employee ownership for businesses in Australia. Its primary mission is to educate business owners, their advisors (lawyers, bankers, accountants, financial advisors), and community leaders on the social and business benefits of all forms of employee ownership (Employee Ownership Trusts (EOT’s), Employee Share Ownership Plans (ESOPs), employee share schemes and worker cooperatives).
EOA educates the public about employee ownership through social media, webinars, events, resources, case studies, and connections to service providers who can assist with employee ownership transitions. EOA serves the whole of Australia with a particular focus on outreach to businesses with diverse workforces, including companies located in regional areas. Our overarching goal is to create broad‐based community and worker owned wealth by increasing the number of employee owned businesses and employee share ownership schemes in Australia.
EOA was founded in 2011 by a group of volunteers and member organisations and is now seeking a part‐time Program Manager to move it to the next level. The Program Manager position is currently funded for one year though increased hours and/or a longer-term contract will be available depending on success in fundraising during the initial contract.
