About the role

We are looking for a dynamic, highly organised person with a commitment to supporting the team of allied health clinicians in their work with pre-school aged children, carers and kindergarten services across inner and western Melbourne. The Administration Assistant provides an important role in supporting the provision of high-quality care and efficient management of service delivery. The position is responsible for a variety of administrative tasks including some aspects of service coordination and systems improvement.

Your duties include:

  • Support Team with Administrative duties as requested
  • Answer and direct phone calls, act as a point of contact for internal and external clients 
  • Organise and schedules appointments
  • Liaise with other providers relevant to clients to ensure efficient, appropriate, and coordinated care

Our ideal candidate:

  • High School degree; additional qualification as an Administrative assistant or other preferred
  • Proficiency with software programs including Excel
  • Strong organisational skills and time management, with the ability to multitask and prioritise

All appointments are made subject to a satisfactory Police Check, a Working With Children Check (WWCC), complete a Statutory Declaration, evidence of legal rights to work in Australia, and evidence of vaccination against COVID-19 (3 doses). Additionally, some roles will also require current AHPRA registration and/or NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.

Roles that are determined to be Risk Category A or B [staff that have direct and/or indirect contact with body substances and are at higher risk of occupational exposure to infections] will be required to provide evidence of immunisation assessment including Influenza prior to commencement [A] or within 12 weeks of commencement [B]. This is in accordance with the Victorian Minister of Health Mandatory Vaccination Orders for COVID-19 and legislated requirement for influenza vaccination.
