Founded in 1989, The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) Foundation is the fundraising arm of the RCH, one of the world’s leading children’s hospitals. The RCH Foundation has the vital role of raising and distributing donated funds to the hospital, enabling the very best patient and family care and support, and saving and improving the lives of our sickest children.

About the role

Working towards a new 2030 Strategic Plan under a new CEO, the RCH Foundation has ambitious growth and innovation targets, including reaching more donors via its marketing function, and providing best practice donor care via its supporter relations management.

Playing a key leadership role towards our new targets, as our new Manager, Marketing and Supporter Relations you will bring an impressive track record of developing and delivering marketing and fundraising campaigns and initiatives, and delivering strategic, data-driven digital fundraising campaigns with a focus on lead generation and acquisition.

You will also have expertise in working with a donor database, and bring demonstrable experience leading innovation in developing new opportunities and processes to mine data for lead generation and acquisitions, and to increase campaign reach, engagement and ROI.

Managing a team of four, you will enjoy being a people leader, and creating opportunities to grow in your own development, and that of your team.

About You

  • You are a self-starting leader and enjoy overseeing operational, administrative and database management, while also leading the ‘big picture’ vision for growing leads and contributing to strategy
  • As a self-starter and a continual learner, you enjoy keeping abreast of marketing trends and love analysing data to track the success of your campaigns, while also identifying ways to pivot to secure new leads and acquisitions as needed
  • You enjoy collaborating with other teams, such as communications, to draw on their expertise to support and bolster your campaigns
  • You are confident leading your function and team, but know when and how to consult others to keep work moving, to achieve the best results and to avoid risk.
