About the role

Volunteers are a vital part of Anglicare and are involved at many levels. The gift of your time can make a significant difference to someone else's life!

About the CALD Social Support program   Frail aged individuals and people with a functional disability from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds, who need assistance with daily living to remain living independently at home and in the community. 

Areas we cover 
Parramatta, Blacktown, Baulkham Hills, Holroyd, Auburn, Hawkesbury, Blue Mountains, Penrith, Nepean, Windsor or Ebenezer.

What you need 
– Comprehensively insured vehicle and Driver Licence
– A few hours a week to spare.
– Willing to learn
– Patient and a good listener
– Reliable
– Empathetic and non-judgmental 
– A great communicator

What does it involve? 
One-to-one or group support, Friendly home visiting, Assistance with shopping or with attending medical appointments, Support with bill paying or banking, Increase independence through skill development.

Please note: The travel expenses for trips made with clients will be reimbursed to Volunteers.
Training, on-going support are provided to all volunteers.

All suitable applicants will undergo and interview and National Police check.
