Organisation : Transparency International Australia

Location : Melbourne (Melbourne/Remote Working)

Time required : A minimum of 2 days per week (15 hours), negotiable with the volunteer.

Duration of project : 36 days

Sector : Community Development, Humanitarian, Overseas Aid & Development

About the role

Transparency International Australia (TIA) is seeking a monitoring, evaluation and learning volunteer to  support analysis of data collected from 11 of the participating countries of the Accountable Mining programme. The purpose is to asses the level of change achieved through the advocacy efforts of the TI Chapters. We are looking for someone with:

  • An interest in Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning
  • Good understanding of quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Good data presentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience in report writing
  • Experience working cross culturally
  • Willingness to learn and be a part of a team
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Undertaking or have completed qualifications in or a demonstratable interest in international development, social sciences or similar.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop an understanding of the scope of the programme and a basic understanding of the key areas of work.
  • Develop an understanding of the programme MEL framework, reporting schedule and global level aggregated analysis done so far
  • Analyse available data and develop reports by country of the changes achieved due to the work of the Chapter in that country
  • Engage with chapter staff if relevant and necessary
  • Regularly and clear communication about progress
  • Maintain complete confidentiality of programme and network information
