About the role
Cerebral Palsy Support Network (CPSN) is seeking new Directors to join its diverse, skill-based Board to govern the organisation through its next phase of development.
Applicants will be experienced in their respective professions or fields and possess solid business acumen. Applications from people with expertise in disability services, finance, and information technology will be considered favourably. Applicants passionate about human rights and equality would be good fits for the roles. Lived experience or a personal connection with cerebral palsy is desirable but not mandatory. Successful applicants will add to the balance of skills and experience of existing Board members.
All Board Directors serve on a voluntary basis. The Board meets six times per year (in person or virtually) along with a half-day annual Board planning session. Board members are also members of either the Human Rights Committee or the Finance and Audit Committee, each of which meets six times throughout the year. Board Director terms are for three years.
We respect and value all aspects of a person, including gender identity or expression, race, language, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, self-identification and expression. We have zero tolerance for the abuse of vulnerable people and we acknowledge the sovereignty of our nation’s first people.
Successful applicants for these positions will be required to undertake safety screening including a NDIS Worker Screening Check and other checks as required by legislation and CPSN policies.
