About the role
Social Venture Partners International is a global organisation with more than 3,000 partners across 8 countries, supporting 900 Not-for-profits.
Social Venture Partners Melbourne (SVPM) currently has 25 partners and supports ten NFPs that work with disadvantaged and vulnerable youth.
We are unusual in that our partners are ‘engaged philanthropists’. Our generous partners, often semi-retired senior executives, give their time, talent – and money – to support worthy causes
Our partners work primarily with senior management and boards to improve the effectiveness of the young, innovative NFPs, with a view to helping them to become sustainable. We are seeking new partners with skills in one or more of the following:
- Strategic planning
- Board governance
- Social Enterprise Model Development
- Business Planning
- Risk Management Frameworks
- Fundraising Development
- Board Performance
- Board skills assessment and recruitment.
- Sales Funnel Development
- CEO Mentoring/sounding board
- Financial strategy

SVP Melbourne supports the development and success of NFP Organisations.
We focus on organisations that help disadvantaged young people in our community to learn, grow, and succeed in both work and life.
We are a growing group of 25 current or former professionals executives, directors, coaches, or rising stars who apply our skills to wide ranging not-for-profits.
