About the role
Orygen Assist is our volunteer-run program that provides access to essential items for young people and their families including non-perishable food, clothing, and hygiene products. This is made possible by our charity partners Foodbank Victoria, Thread Together and Pinchapoo who supply these items. Our volunteers operate a drop-in shop at our Parkville site on Mondays, Wednesdays (1pm-4pm) and Fridays (10am-1pm), as well as an online ordering and deliveries service across the Orygen sites for clinicians and staff on behalf of their young people and families.
We are looking to expand opening hours to open on Tuesdays and Thursdays (10am-1pm or 1pm-4pm) initially and then extend opening hours to Monday-Friday, 10am-4pm.
About the organisation
Orygen believe that all young people deserve to grow into adulthood with optimal mental health. Orygen provides specialist mental health services for young people aged 15 to
25 years, undertakes research, policy, advocacy and education.
