About the role
We are seeking volunteers with events or fundraising experience to coordinate one fundraising event for PDI in Melbourne in 2024. You will be joining a passionate and friendly team and supporting the life saving work of our Swazi team.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate one major fundraising event (ie. gala dinner or cocktail night) to raise funds for PDI’s field projects, with the support of PDI volunteers and the Board;
- Carry out all event administration, keep detailed records (including receipts and invoices) and manage funds raised in a timely manner;
- Organise fundraising team meetings and work with other volunteers to implement the fundraising event;
- Approach sponsors for in-kind or monetary donations for the event
- Liaise with key stakeholders, namely all board members, team members, PDI community members, sponsors and the general community in planning events;

- Fundraising or event coordinator experience (highly desirable)
- Integrity & reliability

- An ability to manage volunteers

- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
