Engagement Coordinator (Volunteer)

We are on the hunt for a passionate and motivated young leader to join Empowered Together’s Administration team.

Empowered Together is a non-for-profit organisation that works towards the peer led primary prevention of sexual violence. Our vision is a world where sexual integrity is respected, sexual violence is taken seriously and those who have experienced sexual violence receive the support they need to heal.

We are youth run and seek to engage this generation to lead the change. Our two main operations include running workshops on consent and sexual assault in secondary schools and engaging the wider community through our online platforms.

Key Responsibility
Contribute to the achievement of our vision by ensuring our volunteers are engaged within our organisation and advocating for our cause externally.

Duties
* Work alongside the Administration team to set and maintain the culture of our organisation
* Contribute to our strategy in relation to our goals and KPIs relating to volunteers and culture
* Coordinate and facilitate whole organisation social and working events
* Establish Empowered Together’s presence in the wider community as an advocate for sexual violence prevention
* Source opportunities for volunteers to involve themselves in advocacy work and promotional events
Skills required
We are looking for someone who:
* Is deeply passionate about the primary prevention of sexual violence
* Has experience or an interest in working in human resources or people and culture
* Is able to attend in person and online events and be a representative for Empowered Together
* Has initiative and self-motivation to succeed

The successful applicant will also be required to obtain:
* A current Working with Children’s Check

Time Commitment
The successful applicant will be expected to commit 3 hours a week. This is flexible as most work is done in your own time. This is a hybrid role, there will be some work done online but it is also mandatory to attend events in person.
The successful applicant will be expected to commit to the role for a year.
