About the role
We are seeking an additional Board Director for L’Arche Australia, which began over 40 years ago, with the aim of establishing and supporting local L’Arche communities, where people with and without an intellectual disability live relationships of mutuality and trust in households or independent settings. Communities are intentional faith communities, but open to people of all faiths or of no declared faith. There are well established L’Arche Communities in Canberra, Sydney, Hobart, Brisbane, Melbourne and Communities developing towards being fully established in Perth, Adelaide and Bendigo. L’Arche Australia Ltd, with an office based in Hobart but operating across Australia, is the peak body for L’Arche in Australia and provides support and guidance to Communities and developing communities.
